Peace Games In Action (Program Model)

Peace Games forms long-term partnerships with school communities to empower students to be peacemakers. Put into action, this means that every part of a school community is addressed in the peacemaking process:

Students

  • The Peace Games weekly K-8 curriculum
  • Peacemaker Projects, service learning projects to support the community
  • Targeted activites to support students who need special opportunities

School Staff

  • Professional Development series
  • Handbook, lesson extenders, and regular planning meetings
  • Mentor Teacher trained to serve as resource to staff
  • Professional networking opportunities

Families

  • Monthly Peace Pages newsletter to bring peacemaking home
  • Family events and workshops that support and celebrate sutdents as peacemakers
  • Family Leader trained to serve as a resource

Volunteers
